Description
This is a variant of the special purpose weapon adopted by USSOCOM, the program, which led to both the Mk 46 and Mk 48 was headed by the US Naval Special Warfare Command (NAVSPECWAR).
The A&K / Cybergun airsoft Mk 46 has the collapsible buttstock and Picatinny rail forearm, the Mk 46 also has a very nice fluted barrel of similar length to the M249 Para.
Although the airsoft M249 is almost entirely made from alloy this AEG very easy to use and handle and nice and easy to shoulder, to be honest I found I could use it as a standard AEG, upon testing we found the gun had an impressive FPS of around 350.
Uses either 8.4/9.6v or 7.4v lipo airsoft battery (Not supplied) and the use of a metal hop unit and PGC style gearbox makes spring swops easy.
The sights we also liked as they are fully adjustable for windage and elevation, the finish again on this airsoft gun is excellent and will not disappoint.
The gun is fully compatible with Classic Army box mags and normal M4 magazines and even comes with a sound operated 3000 rd magazine.
